Whether you are single, married, divorced, widowed, childless, wealthy or just getting by, a woman needs to take control of her own life and finances. An estate protection plan is about controlling the outcome, gaining peace of mind, and well, just plain common sense! Want to know why…?

Women have a longer life expectancy, they tend to marry older mates, and they often make caring for others a priority while neglecting their own needs. On average women make less money (20-25% less), they are usually in the workforce for a reduced amount of time (raising children or taking care of elderly parents) – therefore not only will their CPP benefits less but they will not contribute as much to a retirement fund. Did you know that among women over 65 – 42% of women are widowed – compared to 14% of men.

Women have unique considerations when it comes to estate planning. Two main reasons why you should be concerned about estate planning are to protect your heirs and to protect your assets.

Estate planning affects women more profoundly – so you need to take charge of this process – or at least be an equal participant with your partner.

I will be hosting 3 seminars in June and July – “Taking Care of Yourself and Your Family” …   Putting yourself first with smart estate planning! What you need to know!

The people you care about will have more than photographs and keepsakes to keep your memory alive. There is no better way to show your loved ones how much you care than by planning for an easy transition, and there’s no better time to start than now.

Dates and locations will be posted soon!
