What are the benefits of working with a Money Coach?

I guess I could even start with, what is a money coach? I’ve been a financial advisor for over 17 years, but what is the difference between a financial advisor and a money coach?

Advisors are mostly interested in helping their clients arrive at a particular destination, like retirement. They are using the clients’ income and assets as vehicles for getting there. They also make sure you have all the bases covered in case of premature death, sickness or injury to protect your loved ones, assets and income.

As a money coach I’m more interested in what you want your life to look like, what do you want and why do you want it. I help you understand and resolve any of the ‘potholes’, patterns of beliefs or behaviors that have prevented you from arriving at that destination; such as debt, cash management, under-earning, or confidence to start your own business and not knowing how to get there, i.e. goal setting.

I added coaching to my business because so many people were sabotaging their plans – unconsciously-and they really did not have any solid goals, the were really only wishes and hopes, but no clear destination….. because it’s not about the money ;)
